A Pointless but Hopefully Pleasurable Post in Carlsbad

Nothing to say here. Just enjoy the pics taken on an early morning stroll through the garden. Not a spider fan but...

Jeff, you are definitely on a roll. These are beautiful. Isn't it wonderful to enjoy nature? Looks like you had a glorious morning!

and just like that - the surfer dude pic is back up!

This is beautiful, nothing much to say... the photo's say it all.

What gorgeous photos! Don't know why but "Tiny Bubbles" started playing in my mind, with the substitution of "Tiny Webbies" of your spiderweb.

(hey, who's the new guy?) oh i love spiderwebs & taking photos of them... these are beautiful, gossamer, goreous and dreamy... i love the geometry, and the amazing fact that when the spider pulls the threads at those points to "knot" it, it creates a perfect, musical fifth! I've often imagined it as a shape for a strummed, round, musical instrument, like a cross between a drum and a guitar... thanks for sharing such beauty!

Becky - yes, it was, Interesting morning since the marine layer was very heavy and we could not see beyond the edge of our yard.

Eleanor - yes, he is back for a few months. Summer is about here.:)

Thanks Missy - there was no forethought to these at all. I saw, grabbed the camera, and that was it.  Sometimes spontaneity is the best thing.

LOL, Sharon - Wasn't sure the dew on the rose leaves would show but I lucked out. Love the "tiny webbies" - they were incredible

Mara - hmmm, maybe you weren't around last year (I would check...) . I did this pic in midsummer after a few hours at the beach. It's pretty casual but then this is California, and almost summer. I am a big beach person, but I can dress up too! :)

Jeff, Great photos. Thanks for sharing...it's nice to see pics of something besides pools, kitchens and family rooms!

Jeff, those morning glories are just glorious!  The color on them is fantastic...thanks for sharing.

Jeff,
nice photos as always and I like the background color, I should change mine, also I will need to add a top header photo too, right? :) keep these great photos always.

The rose photos are fabulous! I too am surprised the webs showed up so well. It's nice to step back and reflect on the marvels of nature and enjoy the "little" things in life.

How do your morning glories survive in the heat of SoCal? Mine tend to get a little wilted by midday, but perk right up again the next morning.

I love taking pictures with morning dew or just after a rain... and although I save most spiders from being crushed - I LOVE the webs they weave... amazing!

Thanks for sharing your shots! Are you on Flickr?

LaShawn - I thought so too. And I get tired of taking those kinds of photos.

Lisa -  thanks. There WERE spectacular, and the camera does not do them justice.

Thanks, Ray. Good to see you active again here in the Rain.

Elaine - They were amazing, especially with the light and the dew on them from the marine layer. Spiders make me pretty edgy, though. :)  It was a nice brief walk before starting work.

JF - well they definitely peter out during the day. Morning adn evening seems to be the time.

Kim - I need to do more fun photos instead of work related. And, yes, I am onFlickr, but am not good about uploading there.

Jeff

Georgeous photos Jeff - and nice new one of you!  I don't know if you've entered the Localism contest of 5 great things to do in your community this summer - but if you haven't you should!

Love it - nice to stray from the business path now and again. Thanks...

Great fun photos.  Spider webs always amazes me.  They are beautiful and deadly.  Thanks for letting me stop to smell the roses.  It was my pleasure!

Jeff, I love thise photos. Just finished sweeping the cobwebs from my doors and window. Shucks, I should have photographed them first.

I'm not a spider fan either but those webs are incredible.

Hi Jeff...I don't enjoy the spiders but I sure do like their handiwork.  It is amazing what they can accomplish in a short time.

Guess we can take a lesson from them.

Love the flowers.
