March 1, 2009: Claremont Home Market Activity

Eight Claremont homes were listed for sale during the week ending Feb. 28, 2009, and one home entered escrow, according to the Inland Multi-Regional Multiple Listing Service.

A total of 102 Claremont homes were listed for sale in the MLS on March 1. Included were 67 single-family homes not in associations. There were 35 condominiums, townhomes and single-family homes in homeowner associations listed for sale in Claremont on March 1; 29 homes were reported as vacant.

The MLS showed eight foreclosed, or Real Estate Owned, homes listed in Claremont on March 1; none as In Foreclosure, two as having received a Notice of Default, and 19 as Short Pay. Please note: The MLS only recently required the type of sale of listed homes to be reported when a listing is entered into the system; the numbers of homes in foreclosure or having a Notice of Default - both of which likely would have short payoffs - does not include previously listed homes.

Six Claremont homes were reported as sold in the MLS during the week ending Feb. 28, 2009.
