29 of the 53 were bank owned, 55% of the sales being REO is down from the previous 90 days at 68% REO when the median price was $129,500.
Hopefully the prices will continue to stabalize and the REO sales will stop driving the prices down. There are currently 16 active bank owned properties in Crestline, still plenty of opportunity to buy a dream cabin at a fraction of the cost.
According to CAR (http://www.car.org/newsstand/newsreleases/augustsalesandprice/) "The statewide median price of an existing single-family home increased 2.6 percent in August to $292,960, compared with July 2009."
With Lake Gregory coming in at 44% of the average home in California, I'd say there's never been a better time to buy! Come up for some fresh air!
