It's Raining, It's Pouring, and I'm Certainly Not Snoring

Good Afternoon to the community of AR and Beyond...this is more a freeform, my thoughts.

I am in such a great mood today. After the recent fires here on our mountain, it is FINALLY RAINING in CRESTLINE! And when I mean raining, I mean, DUMPING rain. It hasn't stopped raining all day long, which is great to really soak the land and refill Lake Gregory, since the firefighting efforts drained our lake slightly.

I am concerned with mudslides, but hopefully there won't be any.

It is also a wonderful day because it is the Christmas season and it is my favorite time of year. Not only is my birthday coming up, we are finally having colder weather and I have been listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Lost Christmas Eve CD. If you haven't heard of them, immediately go online and look them up. Buy their CDs, go to their concert, you will be changed. They have one of the most awesome shows you will ever see in your whole life. I am not exaggerating either. We first saw them 3 years ago and have been fans ever since. Their music touches your soul, and their concerts are a feast for your eyes. Have you ever heard of heavy metal and Christmas carols? Neither did I, and it is such a unique sound. Their concerts have lasers and fire and lights and strobes and it all comes together in a superior experience. We just saw them two days before Thanksgiving.

I realized that i haven't written a post since the fires, and that was over a month ago. I have been very busy lately with folks coming up here to Crestline trying to find a vacation home and a great deal. There are great deals to be had up here on the mountain. Despite the rain and the slight possiblity of snow, I am booked this weekend. I haven't received the full title reports for the sales in October, but business is still brisk. I have all of the sales summaries on my website, http://www.crestlinehomeforsale.com/CRESTLINE_MARKET_SUMMARY/page_1938009.html

The holidays are always so busy with travel and shopping and parties isn't it? Tomorrow is also our annual Light the Night Leukemia walk in San Diego. My husband had leukemia 7 years ago to the day tomorrow. It is a special day for us, since he is alive and well thanks to God and modern medicine and his brother who is a full marrow match. My husband received an awesome gift, and the Christmas season has yet another reason to celebrate! If anyone would care to donate to the society, go to this link and you can do it online www.active.com/donate/SanDiego/jersbadgers. $5, $10, any amount. It pays for patient care and information, and helps for research.

So, I guess that's about it for now. I am sure I will come up with something else I would have liked to have said later.

Take care all and GOD BLESS YOUR CHRISTMAS

Amy Steele
