An analysis of the Danville CA market data for the years 2007 thru 2011 clearly shows the market top was in 2007 and has since been trailing downward. 2011 decreased 25% from 2011. The annual percentage decreased since 2007 is as follows:
The smaller decrease in 2010 was due to the tax credits for first time homebuyers.
Of special interest is while the prices in 2011 decreased, unit volume was up 28% from 2010.

With only two months current data, it is too early to predict if we will see an increase or decrease in Danville home sales prices. What we do know is that inventory is low, creating a high demand for those house on the market, which can be evidenced in the unit sales spike in 2011 (see above).
Another positive aspect for buying a Danville home is interest rates which remain historically low.
