In a small Encinitas strip mall near the Henry's Fresh Food Market is a very cool little shop called
Cookies In Bloom.

As the name implies, this wonderful shop, hidden away in the west side of this small mall for the last 10 years, offers an amazing array of cookie bouquets, suitable for just about every occasion and sentiment you can imagine.

Birthdays - Closing gifts for real estate clients - Thank you for vendors - House Warmings - Anniversaries - Weddings - New Baby in the home - Get Well - Businesses

The list goes on and on. In addition to the cookie bouquets, you can also buy boxes of gourmet cookies as well. With over 300 shapes of hand-decorates sugar cookies to choose from, the opportunities are endless.
I have a box of cookies (a thank you from a friend) and a big flower baskets of cookies (my wife's b-day yesterday) sitting on the counter, just waiting for me to dig in.
Check out the Cookies In Bloom website, or better yet stop in one of their stores (the Encinitas one is at 1277 Encinitas Boulevard at the southwest side of the Encinitas Boulevard and El Camino Real intersection).

Hi Jeff, We used to have a shop like this one here in Carmel Mountain. I ordered cookies several times and they taste amazing. Sort of like those cookies we don't usually get anymore that our Mom's who baked made around the holidays. The designs are so wonderful and I even got a basket of the RE/MAX Balloon cookies. They are too attractive to eat but temptation over comes us and oops, they just disappear.
Oh noooo, keep me away from there :) seriously thought they looks amazing! I agree these would be great gifts. For now our clients have to survive with my home baked cookies lol ~Rita
Mmmmm. That looks like a delicious little shop, Jeff! Do they taste as good as they look?
Jeff
Those are the places I love, but they don't do much for my blood sugar. You just may see me in Encinitas one day soon and this would be key place to check out. Amazing looking things to be eaten here.
Jeff, I have used Cookies by Design for years. I send them out for many events. They look similiar and are delicious. I wonder if this will grow and franchise. Yummy
Darn you! Now I want cookies! lol
I love the look of the store. The design is similar to an elegant jewelry and gift store near me. I blogged about it last month. I like anything with a whimsical but elegant feel, so it's a given that I'm going to shop there. Now who's gonna send me some cookies?! Just a few chocolate chip are all I need. I don't ask for much =( LOL
William - well I am such a sucker for sweets, so this really appeals to me.
Rita - well home bakes are still proabbly the best. Maybe not as fancy but you can't get much fresher and what a nice gesture.
Maria - yep, they are quite good.
Tom - well I don't worry as much about healthy eating when it comes to sweets as I should. Not a lot of will power.
Missy - they ARE a franchise already. I used Cookies by Design a few times myself.
Lisa - sorry. :) IT is a cute little shop - what a treat to walk in an be surrounded by cookies...big ones. Choco chip are MY faves.
