Jeff, this is really intriguing. This type of housing/business complex makes a lot of sense with rising gas prices too. Is this the first such community in Encinitas or is it a model which is doing well in other parts of the city?
Lola - it makes LOTS of sense, especially given the locataion. To my knowledge it is the first true work/live loft complex in Encinitas (a smaller one is also under construction about a mile further north in Leucadia), but they are springing up in other communities like Carlsbad and Oceanside. I think they make lots of sense and hope to see more. A much better use of space, too.
