An Update on My Short Sale in Eureka, CA

Well today I received great news, I was able to contact the listing agent for my buyer's short sale home on Humboldt Hill in Eureka,CA and she said that the lender has accepted our offer! Last week, the listing agent had told me that she was going to receive a faxed letter from the seller's lender, but it never came. This made my buyer and I very excited because we have been working on this short sale for the past 4 months and have received no news from the seller's lender at all as to whether they were going to accept our offer or not. We were just left in the cold the whole time, with the listing agent having to send and resend our purchase contract and the seller's info to the lender again and again.

When I told my buyer the great news, she got really excited and was ecstatic! We were almost giving up hope on this short sale and started to look at other homes on the market this past weekend, but did not find one that she liked as much as this one.

So hopefully, this is the start of a happy ending for my buyer for being so patient.
