Internal Revenue Service ~~~~Important notification - Tax refund‏

Last Saturday I received an email alert. It was from the internal revenue service.

First there was momentary panic and wondering what it was I did warrant to attention. Then the title said Important notification Tax Refund. Now the feeling of joy came on.

All this happen on my way back from a listing interview and a couple of property inspections. With a flat tire in my trunk and trying to catch my tire shop before closing and before the storm hits.

The point of this blog is the whole thing was a hoax.

I started wondering why would the IRS email me? Don't they usually send letters?

I went to their website and sure enough right there on the front page; there was the scam warning.
