Feb. 22, 2009: Fontana Home Market Activity

Ninety Fontana homes were listed for sale during the week ending Feb. 21, 2009, and 92 homes entered escrow, according to the Inland Multi-Regional Multiple Listing Service.

A total of 1,427 Fontana homes were listed for sale in the MLS on Feb. 22. Included were 1,311 single-family homes not in associations. There were 116 condominiums, townhomes and single-family homes in homeowner associations listed for sale in Fontana on Feb. 22; 752 homes were reported as vacant.

The MLS showed 394 foreclosed, or Real Estate Owned, homes listed in Fontana on Feb. 22; 28 as In Foreclosure, and 34 as having received a Notice of Default. Please note: The MLS only recently required the type of sale of listed homes to be reported when a listing is entered into the system; the numbers of homes in foreclosure or having a Notice of Default - both of which likely would have short payoffs - does not included previously listed homes.

Twenty-six Fontana homes were reported as sold in the MLS during the week ending Feb. 21, 2009.
