Jazz historian John Tumpak, following his lecture on the history of the Big Band era, will present A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald. Tumpak will feature selections from her fifty-three hit records and discuss the little known personal life of the legendary vocalist who is recognized as “America’s First Lady of Song.” He will also show movie and TV clips of her performances.
A FREE program supported by the Friends of the Glendale Public Library.
