Things to do in Hemet: Now Playing at the Movie Theater in Hemet

Do you like the movies as much as the Hemet Home Loan Guy? Things to do in Hemet: What's playing at the movie theaters in Hemet this weekend, plus what to see and what to avoid.

First...here's the Regal Cinema marquis photo for this weekend. Sometimes it's funny and sometimes is just sad. Is it that they can't afford the magnetic letters they need? Or can't afford to hire people who can spell? It drives my wife and I bonkers, so we're going to post it each week until they get it right!

Hemet Movies

"I thought Yuma was in Arizona, not Tennessee. Would you rather see 310 TN Yuma or Resident Evil Backwords-E?"

Now playing at the Regal:

  • The Game Plan
  • Good Luck Chuck
  • The Kingdom
  • Resident Evil: Exctinction
  • Sydney White
  • The Brave One
  • Dragon Wars
  • Mr. Woodcock
  • 3:10 to Yuma
  • Mr. Bean's Holiday
  • Superbad
  • Rush Hour 3

Movie to See: The Brave One

I saw this revenge film and recommend it. It's a story of a woman (played by Jodie Foster) who decides to take the law into her own hands after her fiance is murdererd. There are a lot of comparisons to other revenge flicks like Death Wish. Terence Howard and Foster have a great rapport in this one. I'm not sure why I like revenge films even though I don't believe in revenge. Is it a sense of justice? Any ideas? Thriller, Rated R

Movie to Avoid: Mr. Woodcock

I like Billy Bob Thornton in some roles, but recently it seems that he's starring in a lot of patently unfunny trash.Comedy PG-13

Use to see everything good right away in LA. Was part of the industry ritual. Wondered if we'd miss it when we moved up here. Not at all. Now we catch everything that's good on DVD here at home, and don't care if it's months later or not.

cheers

Joey, we watch most of our movies on DVD through Netflix these days.  I've seen only two movies in the theater this year -- Shrek 3 and Harry Potter.  Everything else I can wait to watch at home w/o the sticky floor, dirty seats, loud crowds and no chance for bathroom breaks.  But, enjoy the movies if you plan to go this weekend.

Maybe they need to add the Google Toolbar to the marquee? "Vanna I would like to by a vowel. I would like a backwards E please".

Hey Joey, this is not a response to your blog--I wanted to tell you that I saw you on the news!! That's cool. I was watching the report because my broker was interviewed for the story as well. When I saw you, I thought, I know that guy...well, sort of. I know you from AR. Anyway, nicely done. Keep up the good work.

The backwards "E" makes it seem like it is "Resident Evile", which reminds me of Mike Myers talking about evil in "So I Married an Axe Murderer":

Really evil. Like so evil, that you would say it was E-VEEL, like it's the FRU-ETS of the DEV-EEL. E-VEEL."

Missy: I can't say there's one in the theater worth making that extra effort for if you're out of the habit. Gotta love netflix.

Dave: The Kingdom looks action packed my friend. Then again, so would a Purdue game.

Gary: Gotta love netflix. Did I say that already?

Brian: I'm a netflix junkie, but sometimes you gotta see it on the big screen.  I won't do blockbuster openings. It's rare I like a blockbuster, and the crowds are too rude.  I like the 10:00pm showings...small crowd if any.

Ashley: Google toolbar :)  Did you mean: Rush Hour 3

Deborah:  Thank you for the heads up. I missed the news report, but I'm going to search you tube when I'm done here. If you can score it for me, let me know.  Thanks for visiting!

Ja50n: I s33 wha+ y0u m3an.
