Hemet Artist/Designer Kyler Aszterbaum Show in Los Angeles

indie film maker miranda july wears hemet designer Kyler AszterbaumHemet artist Kyler Aszterbaum will be featured at Scout Los Angeles' Private Debut Trunk Show this Saturday, October 13 at 9pm. Here you can see two of Kyler's recent designs on model Vanessa Traina (daughter of romance novelist Danielle Steele) and independent film goddess Miranda July. Kyler's fashion collaborations with Joey Grana III, artist, designer and owner of Los Angeles fashion hotspot Scout LA, have also been purchased by Mary hemet fashion designer Kyler Aszterbaum for Scout LAKate Olsen and Heidi Klum.

Kyler is only 9 years old, the son of Hemet Home Loan Guy Joey Aszterbaum and photographer Jolynne Aszterbaum.

Kyler's designs blend a fascination with the macabre with a bizarre sense of humor beyond his age.

The show is to celebrate the launch of the Scout label new collection available and pre-order for Fall 2007.

It will be a night of fine food and drink with freeform musical accompaniment and is Kyler Aszterbaum's first public art show.

The show will be held at Joey Grana's LA studio. A great evening would be to enjoy dinner in Los Angeles around 6, visit the Scout LA store (which closes at 8pm), then go to the studio.

Joey - That's great!  I'd be there if I could.

Good for you and good for Kyler!  Go Kyler Go!

KYLER!!!! Congratulations man! You are fantastic for having the soul to put your vision into a medium the average Jane can appreciate. If I had this at nine, I'd be a star - as you certainly WILL BE!!!

I'm tempted to fly in to enjoy your show. Please send me an email so I can see what you have and consider placing an order!

btw.. you have good 'genes' :)

Talent runs in the family, eh?  I'm not surprised!

Joey, that's quite amazing!  Your 9 year old already a designer, WOW!  So your 9 year old already plays the guitar also??

My daughter is in LA this weekend with a friend, going to some kind of conference.

Wow, she has a great future, awesome designs.

Uh Joey, I am speechless here, WOW!  Congratulations I bet you are beaming!

Joey, this one is a lot of fun, and it tells us a lot too. My better 7/8ths, Maxene, makes a living as a designer, and my brother has a recording studio in his house...

best

Joey, now I understand your big smile -- you are the proudest Daddy around!  What a talented young daughter you have.

Mike: Thanks...I read the comments to Kyler for his encouragement. Thanks!

Jen: You rule. Sorry I've been hiding out. Some rough stuff happened recently to keep me busy...maybe I'll post about it. Thanks for your note and your encouragement.

Eric: Kyler's very talented...but talent runs through the entire human family. Our job is to appreciate and encourage it. Thanks for being a friend!

Marchel: let your daughter know...she'll probably be out of the conference. How wild would that be? Just have her look up Kyler's dad and let me know. It should be a pretty interesting crowd.

Missy: Yep...I think HIS future is quite bright! :) That's been happening since birth, btw. He's always had beautiful curly hair, and the name's not common.

Renee: I'm proud of Kyler. This is a fun event. He's got funny plans...he wants me to keep quiet about him when he's there so that he can overhear what people are really saying. I'll say this...the first run of shirts they did together sold FAST.

Gary: Or Richard? That sounds cool. I'm so jealous of your brother! Having a recording studio in my home is a dream I have.

Brian: I certainly do have talented daughters...but Kyler, he's not one of them! Thanks for visiting, man!

That's the problem when you blog when you are half asleep.  Duh... sorry about that -- it's been a long day!  Send my apologies to Kyler.  Must have been looking at the pictures instead of concentrating on your text.

CONGRATULATIONS KYLER!!!  Way to go....WooHoo...Hurray!!

Joey, I know you have got to be about to burst with pride.  What a cool kid you have there.  Apple doesn't fall far from the tree, eh?  Let us know how the show goes.

Brian: No big whoop. The pictures aren't that bad are they? I saw Miranda July's Me and You and Everyone You Know. It was a big hit at Sundance when it came out.  I found it strange and sweet and disturbing. Who knew that a year later she'd be wearing a shirt my son designed? Thanks for coming by!

Lisa: Kids rule. It's fun to get into their minds and encourage their gifts. I want to teach my kids that anything is possible. Looks like it's working. Thanks, Lisa!
