Fairs and festivals are the perfect opportunity for you to get away from your hectic lifestyle and enjoy some good quality entertainment. Whether you and the spouse want to head on down or if you want to enjoy a pleasant weekend with the family, the Riverside County Fair allows you to do just that.
The 62nd annual Riverside County Fair and Date Festival just came to an end with terrific success. It was filled with quality entertainers including LeAnn Rimes and Heart who gave the crowd a true show. If that were not enough, there was a record 8,382 exhibits to contribute to a highly successful year.
If you missed out, there is no need to worry. Next year's festival is just right around the corner coming up on February 13-22 of 2009. To make sure you do not miss out on the incredible events and attractions that will be coming, don't forget to pre-order your tickets today. Loverboy will be prforming at The Riverside County Fair this year, other headliners include country superstar John Michael Montgomery and the Gin Blossoms.
The fair admission depends on the age of the person attending. Adults get into the festival at $8, youth between 5 and 12 get in for $7, and any child under the age of 5 get in for free. If you are looking to
purchase a season pass, you can do so for a reasonable $30.
There are a plethora of carnival rides to enjoy at the festival as well. Each ride varies in price depending on how long it lasts and how thrilling it is. However, you can enjoy an unlimited ride pass for the day for just $25.
If you cannot attend the Riverside County Fair Date Festival the entire time, there is no need to worry. There are long hours giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the festivities. During the week the festival is open 10am to 10 pm and it stays open until midnight on the weekends.
In addition to the carnival rides and performances from some of the top entertainers around, there is also a magnificent parade to enjoy. There really is a little bit of something for everyone to partake in.
If you were unable to attend this year's Riverside County Fair and Date Festival, next year's is just right around the corner. Make sure you are prepared and have pre-ordered your tickets for the festival coming up in the middle of February. From LA & San Bernardino: Take Interstate 10East towards Indio. Exit Monroe Street south. Turn left onto Dr. Carreon & proceed to fairgrounds parking.
From San Diego Area: Take Interstate 15North towards Riverside to the 60East fwy-which turns into the Interstate 10East towards Indio. Exit Monroe St. south. Turn left onto Dr. Carreon & proceed to fairgrounds parking.
From Western Riverside County: Take 60East fwy towards Indio-which turns into Interstate 10E. Exit Monroe St. south. Turn left onto Dr. Carreon & proceed to fairgrounds parking.
From Orange County: Take Interstate 5/55fwy/91E fwy to the 60E fwy-which turns into Interstate 10E to Indio. Exit Monroe St. south, turn left onto Dr. Carreon & proceed to fairgrounds.
