The City of La Habra, located in Northern Orange County, CA is the future home of a new residential development. The corner of Euclid and Second Avenue, just south of La Habra Blvd.is the site for ninety-one new single family homes expected to sell from the $600,000's. This location is the former site of a cold storage facility and is currently surrounded by mixed use properties.
This development is near the heart of the city of La Habra, is directly across from the famous Children's Museum of La Habra and the Depot Theater, both located in the nearby park and the La Habra tennis center. Residents can walk to the nearby City Hall, La Habra's beautiful community center, post office and many other nearby places.
La Habra's largest shopping area (including Lowes, Kohls, Sam's Club and Walmart) at Imperial and Beach Blvd. will be just short drive from this development.
La Habra is a community of primarily single family homes, most of which are in the 40-50 year range for construction. The current median price for re-sale homes in the city is in the mid $500,000 range. This new development (in addition to another recently built at Idaho and Lambert Rd.) will make a nice addition to newer housing supply within the city. Other residential construction in recent years in La Habra includes the upscale development of Westridge, with most homes now selling in excess of one-million dollars. Westridge is south of Imperial Hwy. in the hills on the south side of the city overlooking the spectacular Westridge Golf Club.
I took the photo on the left after attending an event not long ago at the golf club. It's a spectacular setting, a beautiful course surrounded by millio dollar hillside homes.
