Amazing home bargains in some of La Quinta's toniest country clubs pop onto on the market here in the Palm Springs Valley, and just as quickly are snapped up by primed buyers. Not all are bank-owned foreclosures or short sales, some are merely aggressively priced for a speedy sale. Here are the latest to warrant the spotlight:

The first, an REO (lender-owned) in The Hideaway, is a home on a grand scale. This one-of-a-kind Tuscan-inspired estate offers 4707 sf with 4B/4b, and was built with the finest materials and workmanship. Replete with soaring ceilings, textured walls, pedestals and arches, the home has formidable south-facing views of the 8th fairway of the Clive Clark course framed by lake and mountains.
On the market late last year for $2.9M, the home is now lender-owned and priced at $1.849M ($392/sf). In an unusual twist for a bank-owned property, this home comes completely furnished. Of the 32 homes now on the market, the average asking price-per-square-foot stands at $541.

The second home in The Hideaway is a short sale. One of the club's Bungalows—clusters of three semi-custom homes centered around a common courtyard—this one features the Mosaic floorplan, the largest at 3138 sf with 4B/4.5b. A spacious second-floor casita is accessed via the outside staircase embellished with handpainted tiles. The home boasts an incredible brick-tiled patio (with BBQ and fire pit) framed by stellar mountain vistas. The inviting outdoor living space includes a spa, one of the few Bungalows with this feature.
The Bungalows are conveniently located within walking distance of all the clubhouse facilities—from dining to fitness.
On the market earlier this year at $1.5M (already one of the lowest priced Bungalows), the home is now a short sale priced at $1.095M ($348/sf) making it the least expensive home now on the market within the club. The furnishings—which complement the Mediterranean ambiance—are negotiable. The other four Bungalows on the market range in price from $1.4M to $1.750M.
This Villa home is the least expensive non-distress sale on the market in The Hideaway. With stunning south-facing vistas, the 3B home was originally purchased three short years ago for $2.1M, was originally on the market at $2M, and is now back this week with a price-tag of $1.265M ($460/sf). That's a cool 40% drop in value.

This home in The Tradition represents the least expensive home now on the market in this quietly elegant enclave near downtown La Quinta and SilverRock golf course. Perfect for those craving privacy, this off-the-course home sits on a lush knoll with a brook coursing around the property.
Views of the nearby Santa Rosa Mountains are plentiful from the southwestern patios, one of which boasts its own fireplace and living space. Several French doors welcome the vaunted indoor/outdoor Palm Springs lifestyle.
Four fireplaces, huge rooms, Creston A/V system, hidden flatscreen TV, and even a two-room casita are highlights.
Did I mention that the home is furnished? Priced at $1.495M ($422/sf), the 3B/4b home has 3535 square feet and originally sold for $2.15M in 2006. On the market at $2.325M, the price has just been slashed this week.

And finally, here's a reduced home in Andalusia at Coral Mountain. The Almeira floorplan offers 4B/4.5b with 3172 square feet of rustic ambiance.
Overlooking two fairways with lake views, the home features a guest suite, outdoor fireplace and kitchen, and lovely pool/spa.
Now priced at $1.225M ($386/sf).
