What have you got planned for December 3rd? Nothing? Well, mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss the event that marks the beginning of the holiday season in Downtown Livermore – The Holiday Sounds & Sights Parade and Tree Lighting. Local marching bands, light displays and music will fill your senses as floats, service groups and students march down First St, entertaining children and adults alike. Parade officially begins at 6:00 p.m., but you’ll find spectators lining the streets early to get a good view.
Parade participants will wind their way down First St. between M and McLeod. Long anticipated by the little ones, is the arrival of Santa Claus, who will do the honors of lighting the tall spruce tree across from the flagpole, affectionately know as Bruce Sprucetree. (corner of First & S. Livermore Ave.)
