Day One - Part of being successful in 2011 to me meant involvement in the local real estate association and marketing group.
hat is important for 2012 as well. And what I’m doing on this day, December 1st includes preparation for and participation in our Annual Holiday Party. This is hosted by our local marketing board (R.E.A.L – Real Estate Alliance of Livermore), for which I have been vice-president for the past two years.
During the year, our members have participated in fundraisers, resulting in a donation to our local food bank earlier this year, and culminating in our year-end holiday celebration which takes place this evening.
Held at Concannon Vineyards, our board joins local real estate agents, lenders, title company staff and other service providers for a celebration, networking and fundraising event.
The wine will flow while delicious appetizers make their way around the crowd. Our board members have been busy soliciting donations from local business for terrific raffle prize baskets, sure to raise additional funds for our holiday giving. It’s heart-warming to see how local merchants free give of their goods and services to help the less fortunate.
Two weeks from now, our members will be busy shopping and wrapping, making sure families in need will have gifts for their children this Christmas, bought from the proceeds of tonight’s raffle prize drawings. Open Heart Kitchen, an organization who feeds the hungry within the community, will also be the recipient of additional donations at this important time of year.
We have a generous group of professionals who truly care about the people of our community. That’s very evident as we join together for a cause we all care about.
