My only daughter who is in between an older brother and a younger brother, just graduated from George Washington Elementary School. It is was a pleasant afternoon as my daughter joyfully recieved her 6th grade diploma. And yes it was an emotional time for me as well, to realize, that yes, we are headed in a different part of our mother-daughter relationship. I am having to let go and see the beautiful young woman she is becoming and yet holding on to the little girl who started out in Mrs. McDaniels kindergarten class with a twinkle in her eye as she was looking forward to her first day of school.
She has transformed right in front of my eyes, yet that same sparkle in her eyes still exists. Well her worries of what's next include how to change classes, will she find her way? I tell her confidintly that yes she will find her way and that I am there for her along the way! She has been though a lot this year as I went through a divorce this year, beyond the obvious physical changes she has grown into the girl I knew she would be! I am not going to let fear interfere with the pleasure of being her Mom. I am not going to ask what's next! And this is thanks to the many lessons that Real Estate has brought to my life! For example asking what's next and letting it flow into place! I am grateful I am a mother and have the privalage of helping others. And best of all my little girl thinks I can achieve anything! What's next? I will let you know as it unfolds!
I am in my 6th year as a Real Estate professional. I love this career as it is such a joy when you finally find the right home for each unique client.

Christine - We have something in common because today was my daughters last day of 6th grade.
Christine - Congratulations...What di you face? Lots of fun, lots of joy, lots of talks....and lets not forget...more expenses! As they grow, so does the costs! Enjoy it - they grow up too fast!

Seriously, they grow up so fast. I remember when our baby finshed 6 th grade, she's flying back to Houston and her law pratice today. She's been here for a few days for us to get to know her man.
Truly, time flys, and so do daughters.

Then she will graduate from 8th grade and need more presents and cards, the 9th grade to go from Junior High to Senior High, then graduate for being a Senior. All in the name of Hallmark, we need to celebrate everything with cards, parties and presents....where does it end...when they go to work....and then can't deal with the stress becasue noone is giving them a party or presents for doing the job they get paid to do. There are no grades or report cards. So the only way to deal with life is get a job that pays commission, you get rewarded for a job weel done when the client sends you a referral, a card, and then you get a big fat commission check, better than any report card.
I could tell you what's next but I don't want to frighten you. :-)
I'm one year away from my 4th seventh grade daughter and I still don't have insightful advice except to say enjoy these years because they sail right past you so quickly.
