Congratulations, Laurie!  So glad you're getting more well-deserved recognition.

After looking at all the sites in your list, I'm struck by a couple of things.

Site hosting is across the board - there are local designers, Advanced Access, XSite and others.  I guess the point here is that good design is possible no matter what web host you're using.

The other thing that I thought was interesting was several of the sites had Google page rankings of 0 or 1.  Now I understand and agree that much too much has been made about PR(and maybe some of these sites are brand new) but it's equally true that it doesn't matter how well designed a site is if it can't be found.

Jan, I noticed that as well.  I think a large part of it is what we as individuals put into it.  While I do have an Advanced Access website, I have a custom home page that I designed myself.  I needed a little technical help with the float down menus, but the rest I did.  The blog is pure Mary McKnight, gotta love her, with my branding.

Laurie - Not sure why I wasn't signed in when I posted last time. Yes, traffic has been decent considering my DSL line was cut and won't be repaired until tomorrow evening. Figures on the day I launch the site, I can't promote it. :-)

Hope you've felt some of the traffic today. I don't have my stats setup to show outbound links yet, so I have no idea how many people have clicked through to you, but with the amount of comments here, I'm guessing a lot. Great work on your site! Nice fan base too.
