Bassanio. Amused by Shylock's request of 1 pound of flesh if the loan is default, Antonio gladly accepts the money lender's

proposition. Fate turns against him, however, and Shylock comes to claim his due. Unable to intervene on Antonio's behalf,

the distraught Bassanio, finds an advocate in his love, Portia, skilled enough to sway the Venetian council and spare

Join your friends and neighbors in an old fashioned parade and promenade to the Park.

Enjoy a concert performance by the Calaveras Community Band at 11am. The Nostalgia

Luncheon, for Murphys area residents 70 years and older who lived in the area for 10

years or more, will take place at noon. No charge for luncheon but reservations are
