Newport Beach, California Area Photos

Newport Beach is a very diverse area with homes located on the sand, boardwalk, bay-front and on islands. Newport Beach has an area called the Balboa Peninsula which is literally a Peninsula with homes on both the oceanfront and the bay-front as well as the interior streets.

Balboa Island is another area of Newport Beach which features the main island, the little island and Collins island.

There is a ferry that runs between Balboa Island and the Peninsula. It is a wonderful place to shop and dine, and enjoy ice cream.

This is a photo of Corona del Mar or what is know as "Big Corona" looking out over the roof tops of a home in Shore Cliffs. There is a beach for visitors as well as a place for boaters to come and moor their boats and enjoy the day. Corona del Mar is south of Newport Beach and is a very quaint community with charm. There are beautiful luxury homes in Corona del Mar.

Huntington Beach features is a great destination spot. Main Street has spectacular dining and shopping and is located across the street from Huntington Beach. Huntington Beach is just north of Newport Beach and is another venue for activities.

Wow This hits home for me. I use to spend my summer on Balboa Island as a kid. Looks like it has changed alot. I miss those days what a place. Thanks for the post and great info.

Sharon - Thanks for the lovely photos.  I love Newport Beach and Balboa Island.  My son who lived in Newport Beach two years ago took us around that area and showed us all these expensive homes.  I thought where we live in Long Island, NY have expensive homes but you have as expensive homes as we have here except here those houses have big properties from 2 acres on up.
