Oceanside Vs Carlsbad.....I love both of them!

Two different cities right next to each other. There are similarities, but a lot of differences.

Carlsbad has everything you could want in a beach community. From the quaint downtown villageto the upscale 4 star Aviara community and resort it is easy to find your comfort zone in Carlsbad. There is a wonderful walkwayright along the coast that is taken advantage of 7 days a week. Calrsbad is always a nice place to be and as an Oceanside resident I visit is almost every day.

Oceanside has a lot to offer as well, but in a different way. The attraction to Oceanside is its beautiful beaches and its sheer affordability due to an explosion of foreclosures. The plans to make it a popular resort destination have finally started to materialize. There are 2 new resort towers overlooking the ocean with more to come in the next year. Oceanside is more of a working town. Industry is more visible and downtown still caters to the ever present military personnel, but I see that slowly changing. It is on of the most affordable beach towns you will find.
