Palm Springs Valley housingPalm Springs Valley; our horse industry is helping our Housing Recovery! When I am driving Clients out to view properties, and even when I speak with them on the phone prior to that, it always amazes me that almost none of them have any idea about the HORSE INDUSTRY in the Palm Springs Valley. It's HUGE! I mean bringing money into the Valley type of HUGE!

The Palm Springs Valley is known as a Resort Destination..whether it's the actual City of Palm Springs, the more centrally located Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage or Indian Wells, or the more Easterly and rural areas of La Quinta, Indio and Coachella. We have the most gorgeous winter months around..it is perfect here from about October through April..alot of gorgeous winter months. Mild temperatures, cooler evenings, and tons of outdoor activities to do when other States are suffering cold, rain, sleet and snow. It is an amazing place to live.

The Horseshow and Polo worlds are seasonal..just like Golf! Because of that, the large barns and their trainers follow the good weather. Winters are often spent, at least partly, in either Florida or the Palm Springs Valley. Horses and the people that work them generate alot of real estate business for our Valley. I believe it is even one of the more Recession proof reasons that we are rebounding as we are..just a personal belief..no stats.

Polo and Horse show Trainers, rent homes for themselves, their families, their grooms and their clients. MANY of them fall in love with the Palm Springs Valley and end up buying a seasonal Condo or Home! Who knew?? All those additional people buy goods here as well. Groceries, clothes, restaurant visits, golf rounds, wine..uh-huh, lots of wine, and all those non-essentials that we always need.palm springs valley horse industry

So, when you start seeing those big horse rigs roll into town from October through December, smile and BELIEVE they are bringing money into the valley, helping the housing industry rebound, and bringing in out of towners to experience the unique and wonderful Palm Springs Valley winter wonderland!
