With the “News Media” relaying the big picture us realtors must reassure our buyers that these are National figures and not relative to our local markets. Case in point: reported on CNN by Les, CNNMoney.com staff writer Last Updated: October 20, 2009: 11:07 AM ET NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -“Homes: About to get much cheaper National home prices are forecast to shrink another 11%” this is very frightening to homes buyers. I can just see our buyers running for the hills. The story goes on with direr predictions “median home price will tumble to $142,000 by June 2011’ AND “n Hanford, Calif., prices are estimated to drop 26.9% and continue falling 9.5% in 2011”.
All this “the sky is falling” screams from the “News Media” dose nothing but bring the fear of Halloween home. In our local market prices are on the rise in pockets and for the most part prices have stabilized, in all price ranges.
