Real Estate Trends for Palmdale, Lancaster and the Greater Antelope Valley October 29 2009

Total housing inventory fell 10.8% in August to 3.62 million units currently on the market nationally, down from a 4.06 million units in July. At the current sales pace, the homes on the market now represent an 8.5-month supply, down 8.6 percent from the 9.3-month supply of the previous month.

That is nationally as a whole numbers can be very different in your local market. We are down in sales by 16.6% over last month and 36.6% down from Oct ’08. However you must consider available inventory in down 73.9% from Oct ’08.

Sales are strong in the Antelope Valley Palmdale, Lancaster areas and we believe we will continue to see the same trend in the months to come…
