Pre-Foreclosure Specialist Designation

I've just completed my Pre-Forelcosure Specialist Certification training through PartnerFirst. It was an amazing 2 days of information on the "ins and outs" of listing or selling short sales. I feel that every realtor who deals in "short sales" MUST take this course and become certified. I've been working short sales almost exclusively for the past year and I must admit I thought I knew it all. WRONG!! I am happy to say that I did get most of it right, but the additional disclosures needed when completing a short sale is something I never thought about. I now feel that I can discuss in much greater detail all the particulars of a short sale whether I'm taking a short sale listing or showing a prospective buyer a short sale property. I encourage all Realtors to seek out this certification program and get yourself educated. It will save you hours and hours of frustration in dealing with lenders, servicers, mortgage insurance companies, sellers, buyers.....just about everyone! We all need to be educated on how to best service our clients in this changing market. I, for one, am glad I took the time to receive this certification. I encourage you to do so as well.
