Well you have to be a bit adventurous for this place but if you give it a try I think you might love it. Many restaurants get their seafood on these docks and they open it all up to the public every Saturday morning from 2 AM to 8 AM. Fish here is VERY fresh, the fish mongers are very friendly, and the fish costs about 60% less than what you can find on sale at your local store. I go here and buy great fish for the week and use it for my sushi dishes.
It is also great to bring the kids to see the birds fighting for scraps and the HUGE seals swiming in the water around the docks barking for their fair share. Take 405 South to 110 south to 22nd street and make a left and follow all the way to the docks.
Nothing like watching the sun rise at the docks and picking your favorite fish!!
