Buckle your seatbelts, and hold on!
CalREDD, the new statewide Multiple Listing Service (MLS), has begun it's transition into the Chico, Paradise and Oroville real estate market as of 1/20/2010.

What does this mean for you as a consumer?
1. Buyers and sellers can expect a bumpy road for the next week or so.
You may experience difficulty when attempting to find current listing information when using the search feature on most websites. It's no small feat to transfer one huge system with thousands of listings to a brand new, more robust platform. The transition is expected to be complete by January 25, 2010. I imagine that it may take a few days after that to finish working out the bugs.
You may experience a disruption in your auto email notification program for new listings. If you are accustomed to receiving daily (or minute by minute!) updates from The Sandi Bauman Team! at Chico Homes, please know that they may be discontinued during the transition period. As soon as it is possible to enact an account for you on the new CalREDD system, we will be working day and night to resume your notification of new listings. The notifications will look different, but will contain the same information you are accustomed to, and much more! Expect to see more photos and better property descriptions in many cases. (Not yet signed up for this great service? Tell us what you're looking for here, and we'll get you all plugged in).
2. Scenic roads ahead.
