This market is GREAT! New Owner Pays $59,000 a Month for Mortgage

At an exclusive project in San Diego County, the developer finds a wealthy market for the Resort Home Buyer. He is offering completley furnished mansions ( up to 23,000 sq ft) that will set you back up to a cool 20 million.

The developer's plans include 8 homes on a 24 acre tract in the most exclusive part of San Diego County. One house has been sold and closed escrow and another in escrow. So much for the all the gloomy reports of a market slump. Not here and not now at least!

The LEASTexpensive home is going for 11.9 million and with a 20% down, generated a house payment of $59,000 per month. The property tax is a mere $139,000 for the year. All in all not a bad deal with the HOA governance fee of only $800 per month.

The Builder developer is known for stretching the imagination in his views of what a modern day mansion has as its basic features.

Anupcoming home with over 23,000 square feet will feature its own bowling alley, a 13 car garage, Wine Tasting room, it own Multi Media Room, a 1000 square foot Humidor ( now that holds a lot of cigars), tankless water heaters, double thick wall construction,photo-voltaic cell lighting just to name a few of the things.

If you got the bucks, be ready to prove it or you won't even be invited to review one. All you will need is to bring your tooth brush and if the offer is right, I am sure the builder will install electric tooth brushes and dispenser for the paste in every room so you don't have to walk to brush and save those choppers. You might even have a spare room for the Dentist to come to you!

I'll take two.

Wow... it is amazing the ingenuity and the imagination of what people come up with for their homes!

I was with a client this weekend, and in preparation for the showings I was delighted to look at some of the very very high end homes here in Las Vegas.  I was so surprised when I found a home that  had an indoor gun range.  I suppose that with high end homes such as these... people want that luxury and convenience.

Only 13 car garage...pfft...  not worth my time...  right!

23,000 square feet.  That is like half an acre.  Most of the lots here in Austin Texas are not that big.

Does it come with a complimenary diamond mine in the back yard?

Hey, is this Oprahs house?

William: We're you the listing or selling agent? I HOPE!    Holy Moly....this is how the other half lives, huh? Hard to wrap my mind around that PAYMENT!    What am I saying, it's HARD TO WRAP MY MIND AROUND the price tag--and I LIVE in CA.

Hi William,
Inquiring minds want to know

1.  What was your role in the sale?

2.  Which of the houses are you buying?

Thanks for sharing information on the rich and famous--a world of fantasy!

you can put one on my tab.  I was looking for a new place to "summer"...

Hi William,

Does this fall into the category "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it"?

What are we talking here? Fairbanks Ranch? Do you know what the developer paid for the land?

Bill Roberts

Hi Bill, Rancho Sante Fe. No price for the land was quoted. Thanks for noticing the post. :)

William - I confess - I must be a small thinker---I just can't get my mind around this one.  Who do you have to kill to have enough disposable cash to buy one of these places?  How many have they sold so far?  Are any of the owners single men? LOL

Me too! Marlene. They have sold two. One closed ,one in escrow. I wish I were the selling agent. Lets see now, at 20 mill and let's assume they pay 2% that would be enough too make my year. That would be nice to sell one house a year and then travel the rest of it. I would have give up blogging because the only real Buyer that contacted me ( which I referred out-house in Laguna Nigel) was for 2.65 mill. But the Buyer wants me to locate some land between 500 and 700 acres for a shopping mall. The only thing I could think of was to cut the top off a mountain somewhere and hope a road can be built to access, lol. No parcels that that around here.

Marlene, PS, I did set one of my clients up with a very wel to do gentelman once and they hit if off onlyy for a few months. They were both clients at the time. She has asked if I would keep her in mind again. He said that was great, he would like a real blonde next time? If my day job doesn't work, maybe I can start another business, lol

Hello Megan, Thanks for commenting. You are right. Pretty soon, they will have their own retail stores right in the house so they don't have to go shopping, lol.

Hi Bob, would a 20 car garage help? They do aim too please so what is a few more garage spaces. If you had a party, all the guests could park in the garage, lol. Then they might want to stay over. YUK! I suggest a one car garage would be best. Will all that money, you should have a driver and the last time I looked, you can ride in only one car at a time anyway, lol

Hello Ki Gray, You are right. A half acre home, not a home on a half acre. Imagine having to clean it, it would take a week and then start over. PS, Love Austin! Beautiful there and the people are great!

Hello Chris, Don't know whose house, had to buy the photo, lol. No diamond mine though. That would be reserved for Mr Gates only. Something for him to tinker around in. Do you suppose he bloggs?

This is just way too much house. But would love the beach view!

Hi Paula, Where it is located is quite a ways inland from the coast. There is no beach, lol. Not even a lake.

Hello Kat, nice too see you on today. Thanks for asking and hoping but I had no part in the sale. Just thought it was interesting that homes can be so costly. When Marjorie Meriwether Post's home sold to Donald Trump, I think it was at that time the most expensive home in America, at 20 mill. That is obviously  no longer true.
