I opened my latest California Association of Realtors newsletter and what did I see??? Four encouraging stories looking back at me!
•1) 4% decline in listing price reductions
•2) 64%--Entry level affordability
•3) 10% decrease in foreclosures in January
•4) Almost 14% increase in existing home sales in 4th Quarter
My first reaction was to think "we've hit bottom" and we're moving beyond! I've seen multiple offers on entry level homes in the Napa market and over asking price bids. Shades of the past.
For the past few months, entry level REO and short sales have also seen a lot of activity in the Truckee/Tahoe market. Have we hit bottom in CA? My crystal ball is a little foggy these days, so I never know what's coming next, but these stories are pretty encouraging!
