The Capitola, California town has a nice seaside esplanade with a nice beach in front, some surfing and fishing from the pier.
While there are many things to do, the Begonia Festival is one of the fun and pretty things to do over the Labor Day Weekend. There are a number of things to do that weekend. The sandcastle competition, fishing derby are among some of them. Many people own homes in Capitola. This community event is alot of fun, but be sure to find parking and feed the meters, otherwise this could be a memorable event for the wrong reasons.
