Chinese New Year events in Los Angeles County for 2011

2011 ushers in the year of the Rabbit according to Chinese astrology which states it is equivalent to the sun sign Pisces and brings artistic endeavors and calmness. Here in Los Angeles County many cities are holding events and festivals to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Also known as the "Spring Festival" or "Lunar New Year". There will be parades, festivals, and ceremonies to attend. January 29-30, 2011 beginning at 10AM each day, Monterey Park is holding a Chinese New Year Festival for Free. The star of the festival is the Floral Fair with flower arrangements to celebrate this Spring Festival. They will also have food, carnival rides, entertainment and arts & crafts booths.
