San Ramon Employment Rates Are Holding Steady
A recent study shows that while unemployment has increased in the East Bay not so in San Ramon. The unemployment for Contra Costa was up to 11 percent. San Ramon's employment stats (I would rather refer to employment versus unemployment) has seen no changes over the past month - 95.7 percent employment.
That figure is really good. California added 30,000 jobs last month - above the national average. Currently the employment rate for the nation as a whole is 90.8 percent (again let's look at the percent employed versus the unemployment rate).
Here is a breakout of jobs added in the past month as reported by "The Patch" showing where the jobs were added throught the East Bay Area:
So this tells me that jobs are on the rise, maybe not as switftly as we would like them, but we are moving in the right direction. This is a good sign for our area.
