What do you do for the community???

I love the holidays!

The Children functions, everybody scurrying to get everything just perfect.

I was PTA President last School Year and as PTA President you are always checking that everything gets done, Oh ya in Real Estate too :-)

So low and behold the PTA group went on vacation and left the school hanging, The Principal was trying to get everything done and there were no Turkeys... "NO TURKEYS"?!!! (for the less fortunate families in our community)

As I do many times a year. I threw on my Supermom/Volunteer Cape, and off to Costco I went, where the unnamed Assistant Manager fella (that wasn't so Jolly) said no we will not discount...

Bah Humbug to you too...

He said 6 months ahead of time for this type of stuff (they have only been in our neighborhood for 3 months). So, I guess nobody got anything from them this year.

I raced to the back of the Store to see if they had frozen Turkeys, (so they wouldn't go bad before arriving to their destinations) and what did I find? Thawing Turkeys:-(

So, I found this wonderful Man in the Meat Depatment, who went to the back (and like Santa on Christmas Morn.) Reappeared before my very eyes, with 12 Frozen Turkeys!

I ask for his name and he said it was James and I told him, he may not know all these families whose lives he has touched, but I would surely make sure he got his due for being the person to provide the families with the only Frozen birds left in the valley.

"Yes, we called around to all the regular local stores and there were none still frozen".

So, heres to wonderful James who works at Costco on Lundy and Hostetter in San Jose, Ca.

To me Christmas is the true meaning of giving and it's not all about money.

But don't tell my Kids that :-)
