I want to be optimistic!

There are many industry professionals and local agents clamoring about a recovery of our troubled Sacramento real estate market but I am feeling cautious because I have been dealing with so many shorts sales and foreclosures. It is nice to hear about agents being busy and see some houses move so check out why I am not smiling in my weekly column, "No Smiles Yet" over at Roseville & Rocklin Today

The market is great for those who know how to look at it properly....   It is always good for someone (buyer or seller)

Hi Adam - I do agree with you, the market is the market and I am doing well but don't feel we are out of the woods yet, at least not here in Sacramento.  There are some really good buys out there though...

Except for a few cities in my area, the market is not all smiles.  The only thing to do is to be positive, try our best and take a few consumer protection and motivational classes.  It works for me.

Julie, Believe what your are doing and don't let anybody talk you out of the good market that YOU are enjoying.  Those nasayers just want everybody down in the pits with them.  Refuse to go!!!

Things are alive and well here in central New Jersey. I have been busier in the last month than I have ever been in 19 years.

Julie,

When I worked in Sacramento, the interest rates were 16%...(I think I just told my age).  Many of my dearest friends in the world are still there........

...We had a slight blip in our market but in the last 30 days it is clear that our market has returned to normal.......Internet leads, buyer walk in traffic in subdivisions and contracts have increased drastically and this trend has all appearances of continuing.....find a niche and work it........it will happen for you

You guys really have it rough out there.  Just keep doing what you have to do to survive.  Things should get better eventually.

Julie- you must be pretty busy lately.  I have see too much blogging.  May I get so lucky!

Keep doing what you have to do to make it.  It will be better eventually.  Wishing you the best.

I wonder if it is just pent up demand.  With gas prices rising by the day I don't know how many want to stick their necks out.

I've heard both in my area. I've heard some of the top agents are doing horrible and then I hear others being busy.
