Southern California Home Buyer's Fair Draws Nearly 5,000 Attendees
Nearly 5,000 consumers attended the Southern California Home Buyer's Fair held April 12 and 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles.
Co-sponsored by C.A.R. and the Los Angeles Times, the free Southern California Home Buyer's Fair featured more than 60 educational "how-to" seminars designed to help home buyers navigate today's real estate market, as well as 75 exhibitors and industry experts who provided vital information about programs and services pertaining to homeownership and the home-buying process.
"The robust turnout at C.A.R's Home Buyer's Fair reflects the need for educational events of this kind," said C.A.R. President William E. Brown. "C.A.R. is pleased to have had the support of the Los Angles Times, its corporate sponsors, exhibitors, and seminar presenters in offering this crucial, hands-on approach to helping would-be buyers move closer to achieving their dream of becoming homeowners."
Most of the educational seminars were provided in English and Spanish and covered home-buying topics ranging from local and state financing programs for first-time buyers; the value and process of the home inspection; monitoring a credit report; how to invest in real estate; and how to purchase a home in foreclosure.

The high turn is not surprising. Local County Home Buyer Fairs provide a wealth of information to prospective buyers. My county, Orange County, NY, has one scheduled for this weekend.
Hi Pam,
that is wonderful, hopefully CAR will start doing similar events up and down the state.

Steve, CAR wants to continue these fairs in northern CA too if there is money, good post Pam
That was a great turnout. People want more information before they make their decision on purchasing a house. Hopefully people can turn out to more home buying seminars in our area. Great post.
Steve.....it is my understanding there is a plan to include Northern California.
Jean....Thanks for the comment.
Lanre.....Thanks for the update. Will we see you in Sacramento?
