Greening Up Orange County ~ Recycle Centers for No. Orange County

Recycling those water bottles is as easy today as a trip to the market. That's right, many neighborhood recycling centers are a close as your supermarket. More specificially in the parking lot of many of these stores. Just drive up, drop things off, and you're on your way! What could be easier?

Recycling around town in BREA:

  • 2500 E. Imperial Hwy. Brea 92821 ~ Near Albertson's
  • 305 W. Imperial Hwy. Brea 92821 ~ Near Ralph's & Rite-Aid

Recycling centers in FULLERTON include:

  • 1040 E. Bastanchury Rd., Fullerton 92835 ~ Near Stater Brothers
  • 1101 W. Commonwealth Ave. Fullerton 92833
  • 1885 M. Euclid St. Fullerton 92835 ~ Sunrise Village Center
  • 2291 W. Malvern Ave. Fullerton, 92833 ~ Near Albertson's
  • 914 W. Orangethorpe Ave., Fullerton 92832 ~ Near Albertson's

Recycling in LA HABRA:

  • 851 N. Harbor Blvd. at Whittier Blvd., La Habra 90631 ~ Stater Brother's Parking Lot
  • 325 E. 4th, La Habra 90631 ~ Unicorn Metal Recycling
  • 2101 W. Imperial Hwy. 90631 ~ Von's

Recycling for YORBA LINDA:

  • 2929 Yorba Linda Blvd. Fullerton 92831
  • 20445 Yorba Linda Blvd. Yorba Linda 92887 ~ Near Von's
  • 4848 Valley View Ave. Yorba Linda 92886 ~ Near Von's

In the State of CA we all pay 5 cents to the State for CRV, California Redemption Value for each bottle purchased. Yet when it comes to recycling and redeeming those bottles, many of the recycling centers do not refund your cost by the bottle if you have a large number to redeem at one time. It's usually in excess of 50 at one time. These places will usually pay you on the total weight of your bottles. Therefore be sure to ask ahead of time the policy in each local recycling center.

Like many paces of business we do our best to recycle at Preferred Home Brokers. We save our bottles, cans and paper. It's a very small part in helping our planet. yet we all collectively can make a difference. What are you doing to recycle in your workplace?

  • As a note, in the past the redemption center in the Stater Bros. parking lot at Harbor and Whittier Blvd.(in La Habra) previously paid by the pound. While the center behind the Rite Aid in the Ralph's Center at W. Imperial (In Brea) paid by the unit bottle if counted in advance.

Kimberly ~ Thanks for the visit. I'd sure like to see a lot more people recycle those bottles & cans. I just hate the thought of them in a landfill somewhere! As for my new photo, I took it myself sitting at the front desk in my office this a.m. Just decided I needed something more current, and this time with glasses, a first for me.

Love this post Lynda!   It makes it so easy to find a recycling center in Orange County.  I need to pull similar info for Pasadena.  :-)
