One Inspection many Buyers overlook!

Scoping the sewer system on the older homes. Now, there are certain cities that require the lateral sewer to be replaced before the home closes escrow.

Most cities do not require. Many of the older neighborhoods are seeing deterioration of the sewer systems.

Cost to replace can be several thousand dollars. Typically the homeowner is responsible from the house to the street and the city is responsible from the curb to the street.

Worth another couple hundred dollars to have a plumbing and sewage company come out and put a camera into the system to check it out. Renegotiate with the seller to either repair or replace and/or split the cost with you.

Home ownership is GREAT! It is a long term investment. Not for the short term.
