Sunset Bike Rides on a Beach Cruiser
One of the benefits in living along the Coast in Newport Beach is the ease of getting to and from your destination on a beach cruiser. Huntington Beach is only a five mile bike ride from the west end of Newport Beach which is absolutely beautiful and I have done it many times. You are able to ride along the boardwalk to Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach. Of course you share the boardwalk with others including joggers, skate boarders, roller bladers, bicyclists and people enjoying a beautiful and picturesque walk.
Last night was incredibly busy with people enjoy the beach, creating bonfires, and it was very busy, but everyone seemed to be having a great time enjoying the summer weather.
People were still swimming, surfing and walking along the boardwalk and the beach. The tower on the pier is Huntington Beach City Lifeguard tower where they watch for swimminers and surfers along the pier.

Of course there is nothing like a Huntington Beach sunset. The Huntington Beach city guard is still on duty as you can see from the buoy hanging from the tower.
People were still enjoying the ocean as the sun sets.
When you are visiting in Newport Beach or Huntington Beach, be sure to hop on a beach cruiser and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

That is a magnificant sunset! I wish I was there.
Sharon, your sunset at the beach photos are very soothing and illustrate the relaxed atmosphere and quality of life of your area. Thanks of this collection.
Debbie - thanks for the compliment. Come on out and visit.
Gary - thanks it was a spectacular evening (and I love to bring my camera).
You make me miss living at the beach. We moved to back to northern California about seven months ago. I'll admit to loving the scenery here. I drive around and think it's like picture postcards...but now I miss the beach. Nostalgia is a lovely thing. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful photos thanks for the post

Hi Sharon,
Just found this post, Hungtington Beach is one of my very favorite places to ride. Mostly flat, beautiful scenery, we park on Brookhurst and ususally ride west to Sunset Beach and turn around. It's always a great ride.
Your photos are spectacular!
Lynda - I too love Huntington Beach, and we are really close to Huntington. My daughter is a Huntington Lifeguard, so we are always over that way.
