A Housing Market Divided

Awhile back, we posted about bidding wars going on in the arena of homes, which were priced well, and in good condition; much of this activity being fed by the CAL FHA First Time Buyer program.

While blogging we have been provided with really interesting comments from real estate professionals across the nation.

It was noted these bidding wars, aren't just indigenous to the Greater Sacramento, El Dorado, and Placer Counties - but also other locations across America.

However, there is certainly a Great Divide being experienced in the housing marketplace. As one real estate agent so aptly stated, "It's a tale of two markets. Sellers need to decide where they want to spend their time (in fantasyland or in reality), when it comes to pricing and preparing their homes for sale. If they miss the target on either, buyers will pass them right by!"

He went on to elaborate we have the "bidding war" phenomena demonstrating it's presence in about 10% of the homes on the market - while the other 90% are sitting. Good houses, which are well priced, continue to attract offers! And in many instances they precipitate bidding wars - leaving the "fantasyland" sellers out in the cold!
