First Annual Big Bear Marathon September 06

Big Bear Marathon Logo

The first-ever event of its kind in the Big Bear Valley, perfect for the outdoor enthusiast and athlete who seeks high altitude training.  The course is truly one of the most scenic courses you will ever run. Starting and finishing in Big Bear's downtown village, the course runs around Big Bear Lake clockwise towards the golf course. With slight rolling hills, this is actually a relatively flat course, however it is at a higher altitude. Elevation ranges from 6,750 feet (the elevation of Big Bear Lake) to around 6,900 feet.  Click here for a course map
