Orange County here I come

Ever since my first trip to Orange County I've been thinking a lot about getting ready for my move. My initial trip was more of a "get to know" the area, and frankly, I was amazed. I lived in Portland, Oregon for over 25 years and Oregonians, while being some of the coolest people on planet Earth, are not exactly tolerant of anything Californian. My wife and I were told by many "experts" that Californians were rude, obnoxious boors that didn't know how to drive and thought the world revolved around Disney World. I can tell you, that in my experience Californians are just like other folks, except they live pretty close to paradise.

Now I know, taxes here are a bit high, but the beaches are wonderful. There may be some boorishness around, but tell me about a place without any. Even though there does seem to e a dearth of long suffering Raider fans, for the most part they are decent people.

Looking into Orange County business law I found that business taxes here are just a little higher than anywhere else in the country on average, and if you're looking to start a business here, there are many programs aimed especially in the hi-tech industry. Orange County real estate does not seem to be having as much trouble as elsewhere, but of course, it's hit here too.

The good news is, no matter who you are, you have to love the sun, the beaches, the many things to do in Orange County. I know it's close to L.A. and all that, but looking at homes for sale in Laguna Beach make me think that it would be perfection itself. Checking into homes for sale in Rancho Santa Magarita make me think of how peaceful and and relaxing it would be to live there. You don't even have to retain an Orange County business lawyer to get things done, there are plenty people willing and able to help.

Wish me luck with this new phase in life.

Thanks for reading.
