Wrought Iron that is?

Just as beautiful jewels dangle from the lobe of a perfectly coiffed femme-fetal, wrought iron can be the final touch to any commercial property, home or grand estate. Setting the tone as guests arrive at your gated motor courtyard or welcoming potential clients into your business reception area or showroom; decorative, custom metal work will set you apart from the status quo.

One of my personal favorites in the Southern California area is Pacific Industrial and Construction Co. locally based in Newbury Park, CA. PIC is a family owned and run business and has been established in the community for over 25 years. The most amazing testament to their success is that PIC does absolutely NO ADVERTISING; their tremendous success is due completely to word of mouth and customer / client referrals. Dealing primarily in custom high-end homes, they are the Conejo Valley's best kept secret: until now.
Now, I'm not talking about smaller items such as candle sticks or side entry gates. Pacific Iron & Construction Co. fabricates grand staircases, wrought iron and glass doors, pergulas and so much more working with everything from hand hammered wrought iron, to brass, to stainless steel and cable railing systems. Literally taking any idea or vision and turning it into a master piece. (Picture is of samples in the PIC Iron Showroom)
Case in point: Platinun Home Staging, Inc. is working with an Interior Design Client who wanted a chandelier for her home. But not just any home, the foyer has 25 foot vaulted ceilings and she wanted this to be show stopper as guests enter. The design team at PIC Iron was able to take a sketch on a napkin and make it into a reality.
The first two pictures are of the spec frame to show the size and scale within the space where the chandelier is going to be installed. This space is viewed from the main entrance to the estate, formal Living Room, the loft office as well as seen from the entire second floor hallway and breezeway.
These pictures show the actual chandelier hanging in the fabrication center awaiting the internal electrical wiring and the extreme level of detail and craftsmanship that has made this company my top choice for the most discerning Interior Design Client.
PIC Iron serves the entire Southern California area spanning from Santa Barbara to San Diego, Malibu to Arrowhead.

Aloha Connie,
Great promo featuring how you and Iron can do wonders for your clients. What a great design resource. I love wrougtht Iron, but here in Hawaii it is hard to maintain do to the proximity to the ocean and corosive power of salt and humidity. I bet they have some great art nouveau pieces or do they do mostly spanish colonial?
Peace,
Connie: Wow, thanks for this great resource. I'm adding PIC to my rolodex!
Aloha, Kimo ~ Although they can manufacture (literally) anything your heart desires; CA building codes stipulate that any staircase, railing or other banister cannot have any spaces which a 4" round ball can pass through (such a baby's head). The art nouveau style with its airy and free flowing style would be fabulous for a gate or entry door, which I am sure that they have done.
Southern CA also has a big problem with the coastal areas such as Malibu, Palisades, Montecito, Marina Del Rey, etc, etc, etc. Often times in these cases, PIC does a huge volume in galvanizing the wrought iron as well as sealed powder coating to protect the metals from the elements. Stainless Steel flat bars and SS cable systems have also been very popular in recent years in style and design for this exact reason.
Michelle ~ I hope so! Got your message, nothing slips by you ;-)
Grand size elegance Connie! Thanks for sharing this fun project with us! :)
It's always fun to work with craftsmen isn't it? I worry it's a lost art as are so many things that we aren't teaching anymore. Good post and nice testimonial for your vendor Connie. Good job.
Cathy ~ Grand in-deed. I can't wait to post it once it is up and illuminated!
Terrylynn ~ Thank you SO much! Yes, a lost art indeed, so much today is mass-produced or shoddy craftsmanship that I needed to get the "word" out about this vendor. I LOVE them!
