For many the thought of a wild land fire is just that a thought, but to people living in California it is a reality. This weekend their are Santa Ana winds expected for the southern part of the state. This summer showed the power of wild fire and our inability to control them. Do not wait for the last minute If you are in high fire danger areas be ready.
These fires do not only affect the mountains and unpopulated areas, the City of Stockton lost over 12 homes in a wind wiped fire that started off the freeway. Commercial real estate is not always offices and industrial parks, apartments and mobile home parks are highly prone to high density brush. Sacramento is know for it's large amount of trees, and in windy days it is not uncommon for fire to jump up these trees and on to the roof tops of these properties.
Take care of you property by cutting back the brush and allow for ample access for fire trucks after all you do not want to be accused of neglect.
