Spring in Los Angeles is one of the loveliest times of year. And although the harsh reality of winter is still present in the rest of the world, here in southern California there are signs of Spring
everywhere.
From the rolling green mountains to the lush and colorful trees, everything is budding, flowering or preparing to bloom. I always think of this time as full of potential. Our country has seen a long harsh winter, perhaps finally we are all making the transition from Winter to Spring.
One of the best ways to transition into Spring is to do a thorough cleaning. For me that means to my home, office, car and even a mental cleaning. The first step in any cleaning is purging. Anything that isn't working for you has to go! That might mean some clothes in a closet, some files at the office, and some negative thinking in your head. Whatever it is, wherever it is, if it isn't working for you get rid of it. If you think it will help someone else, donate it. If not get rid of it.
After the purge it is time for good cleaning with environmentally safe products. After the cleaning its time to put something fresh and organic in the space. It might be an orchid in your home or some soothing music for your brain, but it pays to refresh!
