Rancho Cucamonga FHA Loan Limits after October 1st 2011

FHA loan limits in Rancho Cucamonga and the rest of San Bernardino County in Southern California are expected to drop $144,650 from $500,000 to $355,350 on October 1st, 2011. Congress had extended the FHA loan limits in 2009, 2010 and 2011 on an annual basisas part of the government’s 2008 economic stimulus package.

Although the 2012 FHA loan limits continue to be a highly debated topic, it appears that Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA will be reducing the maximum loan limits rather than extending them.

However, In spite of the FHA loan limits being reduced in San Bernardino, it appears that first time homebuyer will still have some options. Here’s a current list of homes for sale in San Bernardino County that are at or below the new FHA loan limit of $355,350.
