Do I use a friend/family as an agent?

I was on on the phone the other day with a friend and he said he was thinking of buying a house, but I am not sure which agent to use. I have a close friend that is an agent, but I do not think I want to use them.

I asked Why?

He then raised several concerns:

  • It could cause a strain in our relationship
  • Afraid to raise concerns
  • They may not work as hard
  • Insult intelligence?
  • If not happy with performance, still obligated to stay based on friendship
These are the things that make you say hmmmm

I thought wow, he has some valid points, however, when was the last time you took these things into consideration?
How do you address these concerns with your sphere of influence, family & friends?
Do we all as stress people realize and address the concerns of our clients, especially if they are the people that are closest to us?
IF you are in title and have friends that are agents, it can be the same thing. The rules do not change based on the producrt we sell.
How do you diffuse these concerns? and make it a success!
