Exhibitions at Redding's Turtle Bay Exploration Park!

Formed By Fire
Starting Sep 25, 2010 - Jan 09, 2011

Formed by Fire at Reddings Turtle Bay Exploration ParkIn a unique collaboration local artists Colleen Barry, David Gentry and John Harper come together to create a dynamic exhibition for Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Sponsored by Sally Wells, Formed By Fire focuses on the shared concept of "fire" and how it shapes the unique beauty and ecology of the north state.

Working with diverse materials and subject matter, the artists explore, both literally and figuratively, a variety of traditional and non-traditional visual media and technical processes. Just as a burned forest begins to grow and regenerate, the exhibition will evolve throughout its run. Through their art, each artist presents their own interest in how fire has impacted their communities and individual history.
