Red Lobster in Citrus Heights CA - We really enjoyed our evening there!

Last night my husband Jon and I decided to have a real date night. We hadn't really done that in months. Oh, we had eaten out, but it was usually just because we were hungry and didn't feel like cooking. We didn't have reservations, but decided to chance getting a table at a cormfortable but nice restaurant.

We went to Red Lobster in Citrus Heights, sat in the bar for awhile and had the most delicious cocktails! I'm not much of a drinker - I don't have anything against it, it just doesn't occur to me to have a drink. I have a glass of wine with dinner a couple of times a month and a Margarita a couple of times a year. I have had good Margaritas and bad ones, but the one I had at Red Lobster was one of the best I have ever had.

Jon usually doesn't drink often either, but when he does, it is usually Sierra Nevada brown ale or something similar. Last night, for some reason, he surprised me by ordering a Bloody Mary for the first time in years, and he agreed with me that the bartender did a wonderful job.

After a bit we moved to the dining room and started our meal with a lobster artichoke and seafood dip as an appetizer. While we waited for that to arrive we munched on Red Lobster's yummy cheddar biscuits.

So far everything was so good we began to wonder if we would have room for dinner, but we ordered anyway. Jon chose two from their combination menu. He had seafood stuffed sole and wood grilled fresh salmon. I had maple glazed salmon and shrimp. Sigh!

Our dinners were delicious, but as we feared, we couldn't finish them. Our wonderful waiter, Clifton, was a delight. He was friendly and efficient and took great care of us, with a sense of humor.

We had been eyeing some fantastic looking desserts on the menu, but there was simply no way we could handle that!

If you love seafood, plan an evening out at the Red Lobster at 6231 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights, California. If seafood isn't your favorite but someone in your party loves it, they do have some steak and chicken dishes on the menu for you.
